Andy Emilio is one of Canada’s most important filmmakers and powerhouse producers. As the son of Ron Emilio, a legendary titan of Canadian theatrical exhibition, Mr. Emilio quickly leveraged his corporate development acumen into raw cinematic production power. Launching his own film production unit in 1994, he has from the very beginning guided a staggering roster of Hollywood's elite: Corey Haim (Blown Away), Lou Diamond Phillips (Boulevard), Mark Dacascos (Sabotage), Michael Rooker (Shadow Builder), and wrestling icon Roddy Piper (Last To Surrender). His golden touch continued by steering John Hurt, Shawn Wayans, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Joe Pantoliano in the stylish thriller New Blood; launching director Joe Carnahan's masterpiece Narc with Ray Liotta, Jason Patric, and Busta Rhymes; and backing Robert Redford's daughter in The Guitar. While Mr. Emilio is positioned to direct his first feature film, when he's not making movies, the filmmaker is schooling rookies as a legendary world champion arm wrestler. Biography by Applecreek
