Gabriel Hoss was a Canadian television creator, director and producer best known for developing How It’s Made. He originated the concept in the early 1980s and later created the long-running television series that premiered in 2001, establishing its distinctive narration-led manufacturing format. Hoss also worked on the children’s series Passe-Partout. He died in Montreal on April 28, 2016, at the age of 72.
