Jaime Osorio Márquez (Cali, October 30, 1975-December 23, 2021) was a Colombian film producer, screenwriter, filmmaker and director. Jaime Osorio Márquez was born in Cali in 1975. Between 1995 and 1999, he studied Deug, the Licence and La Maitrisse en Arts du Spectacle Mention Études Cinématographiques at the Université de Rennes II, in France. In 2000 he returned to Colombia, becoming director of commercials for companies such as Teleset (owned by Sony Pictures Television International), República Films, Los Sopranos in Venezuela and for Rhayuela Films. He directed important advertising campaigns for clients such as Avianca, Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Yoplait, Alpina, McDonalds, Nestlé and Newell Sanford, as well as being a winner at the Nova and Caribbean festivals. In Colombia he was recognized for his way of imprinting tension and drama to the image.
