Heatherly moved to Spain when she was eleven years old and first started acting in various films and television shows in the early 1960's. May was best known for her memorable roles as the infected Nurse Helen in Cannibal Apocalypse (1980) and the bitchy Mrs. Reston in the notorious slasher cult classic Pieces (1982). Heatherly underwent hip replacement surgery in May, 2013. May died at age 73 on October 6, 2015 in Madrid, Spain.
